Garnet-red with ruby highlights bouquet barbaresco distinguishes itself with its delicate and persistent bouquet of spices and dried roses, not to mention notes of fresh and candied fruit. the taste is dry and austere, deep and full-bodied the tannins, in comparison with Barolo, are silkier and render this wine very pleasant and elegant while young; however, this does not preclude the possibility of long bottle ageing.
