It is born from the place called Champ Cain in the Grand Cru Avize, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. The soil is rich, with a foot hillside facing south and a clay and sandy loam soil on a chalky substrate. Single grape of this wine, the Chardonnay occupies a plot of 130 acres planted in 1962. The 2002 harvest, done on September 15, has been vinified in casks before bottling in June 2003 to 8 years in cellar and a dosage 2 grams per liter, to express the minerality of Avize Grand Cru. It is pure and elegant bottle, delicate and tangy with citrus and apple. It is straight, chalk and intense. One of the greatest successes of the house Jacquesson.
