Deep dark red colored wine with a soft purple glow. The smell is overwhelming from the first introduction: ripe blackberries, black cherries, a little cloves, black pepper and a civilized lick of vanilla. The full flavor develops in the mouth and comes fully to fruition. The round, soft tannins give this wine backbone and structure. The finish is powerful, but remains friendly.
